Blue Horizon @ 6:00PM & 7:30PMFlatbreads starting at $7.95, Switchbacks for $3.50 Every Thursday night from now through the end of summer, we'll be queueing up a movie from our wind and waves collection to air first at 6:00PM for the early dinner kids wave, then again at 7:30PM for the later crowd. During both showings, we'll be offering flatbread pizza specials starting at $7.95 and pints of Switchback for $3.50. Jack McCoy delivers the goods as he captures the most exciting year on tour in professional surfing. In 2003, Andy Irons, the defending world champion, feels the pressure of having to defend the crown while his old time rival, Kelly Slater, makes him work for it on every stop on the tour. Kelly and Andy are the great surfing rivals in professional surfing and film maker Jack McCoy does an excellent job capturing the tension between these two highly competitive athletes. In a parallel plot line to the 2003 World Tour, Jack also follows free-surfer Dave Rastovich to show the other side of competitive surfing. Dave is an incredibly gifted surfer with a killer deal from Billabong to free-surf and get paid without having to compete on the tour. When you see him surf, you'll see why this was an easy decision for his sponsor to make. Dave is a groovy hippy New Zealander with a great life story of how he became the surfer he is and shows how different a professional surfer's life can be from the top 44 on the tour. Feel free to spread the word and invite friends, neighbors, kids, and anyone you know of that loves surf flicks. Also remember, we've scheduled two showings, one at 6:00 for kids and families, another at 7:30 for the "late" crowd. Hope to see you all there. |
