Pipeline Masters

Thursday, November 19th @ 7PM

This is an incredible documentary of the history of the most prestigious event in professional surfing - The Pipeline Masters. The Bonzai Pipeline on the north shore of Oahu is the most dangerous wave in the world due to the huge swells that break over its shallow craggy reef. The Pipeline Masters is held every December when winter storms in the north Pacific send huge waves to the shores of Hawaii. The world's best convene at Pipeline every winter in the gaping barrels of Pipe to compete for the honor of being immortalized as a Pipeline master.

Special Event: Before we roll film, we have a very special slide show to share. Dan Goldman, Russ Scully and 9 others drove down to Little Compton Rhode Island on the weekend of October 23/24 to chase a beautiful storm that produced over-head surf with epic off-shore winds. The crew took turns surfing and shooting pictures capturing the excitement of what fall is all about on the New England coast. The result is a slide show of spectacular images (shot mostly by Dan) of the action that ensued. Granted none of us are professional surfers by any stretch of the definition, but for a crew of mostly 40 year olds from the land locked state of Vermont, we held our own in some big surf.

As always everyone is welcome to bring food and beverages of their choice. We'll put out chips and salsa to munch on. The slide show will start promptly at 7:00 followed soon after by the film.

Looking forward to seeing everyone,
Russ
