Riding Giants

This is an incredible movie shot and directed by Stacy Peralta, founder of Powell Peralta Skateboards. The movie focuses on three of the most significant big wave surfers from three different periods of surf history.

First is Greg Noll, also known as "The Bull". Noll was the first surfer to paddle out at Waimea Bay in some of the largest waves ever ridden at the time. Next is Jeff Clarke from Half Moon Bay. Jeff is famous for not only discovering the big wave spot known as Mavericks, but also for surfing the place alone for almost 15 years. He also donated a big wave gun to The Spot! Last but not least is the master himself, Laird Hamilton. Stacy films Laird and the rest of his "strapped" crew as they tow each other into 70 faces at a break on Maui known as Peahi.

This is a perfect film for display on the big screen as the waves are as huge as the story. See you there!
