The Spot Goes Solar!

Its official. Starting today, The Spot will be generating up to 35% of its electricity from 36 photovoltaic panels mounted on our roof tops.

This 8 kW system is expected to send 9200 kWh of power per year to the Burlington Electric Department grid. That power is then credited back to us on our energy bill. In addition to capturing renewable energy, we've also conducted an energy audit of our major kitchen appliances in order to understand how much energy each unit consumes. With that information we're able to make substitutions where necessary for more energy-efficient replacements.
